5.11 Quad Zip Backpack with Premier Body Armor: Cool Pack for Day Hikes, Short Adventures

I haven’t had a ton of experience with 5.11 bags or gear, so when I got the chance to check this one out, I was pretty pumped. Overall I found this pack very comfortable but as I note in the video, I won’t use it for everyday carry because of how it ‘falls’ when I have it loaded up. Still, a nice bag that has a variety of uses. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  1. Another good review! This bag is a lot like the Tactical Tailor Extended Operator with the zippers and inside organization, just smaller. I would like to try it for EDC and day hikes, but I think you’re right the top shouldn’t be so floppy.

  2. I love their pants, I own five pair, I really wanted a Rush Moab 10 but they only make it in a sling configuration and that gets annoying with the amount of cycling/motorcycle time I spend in a saddle. Thank you for the review, it’s nice to see how they are evolving.

    1. Yeah – they make some solid gear. Bags are interesting to me – I’ll be interested to check out other bags in the future. They are 1 for 2 on bags with me – this one was a no-go for me:

  3. Nice review!
I dont have much experience with 5.11 bags, but I will point you towards Black Diamond for the future.

Climbing and skiing packs mainly, but I still have and use daily, one of their original model bullet packs.
After 7(8?) years, it is in near mint condition.
Was only $49 when I bought it!
