This is the plot to One Second After. However, in saying that, that book (which I read on an e-reader) really woke me up to just how grid connected we all are. As for practical knowledge, Homeowner’s and Handyman encyclopedias from the 1950’s and 60’s are phenomenal collections of knowledge. If you can get your hands on one, do!

I never understand why people “preppers” don’t embarrass technology more, I’m a infosec enthusiast, and general technology enthusiast been into it since the late 90s, and I have found as long as you know what you are doing and the physical infrastructure exists it just takes some know how.

A video on the potential impact of life extension and the demographic transition on the future of Humanity would be great too, With companies like Calico popping up and the revelation that over half the worlds nations are producing fewer offspring than are dying. A world full of 200+ year olds with barely any children and the stagnation of civilization as a whole, would be a grim drawn out end in my book.
Another brilliantly researched and put together video, thanks for the info. At least in parts of the US and Canada you guys have some warm and/or dry climates to escape to on foot if need be. He’re in Britain its only getting wetter as the climate changes (especially once the atmosphere suddenly clears of dust/pollution), the constant damp weather and flooding that causes havoc now will degrade all of out critical infrastructure rapidly…preps to keep dry and fight moisture are essential in this climate.
