In this video we take a quick look at the single shot 45/70 from Henry. These rifles have filled the niche in the market that H&R is no longer fulfilling after being purchased by Remington. So far the little rifle is holding up well and packs a wallop in a lightweight and easy to carry package. Stay tuned as we will be scoping and revisiting this rifle in the future. Much more on the way.

  1. I wish someone would do a video with the 570 grain garret super hammerheads in one of these 45/70s. I bet it will go through 10 water melons

  2. You got bit by the gun, happens even to the best!! lol I like the .45-70 and would like to have a rifle in that caliber one day. I would prefer a lever action but could see getting a single action. For a scope mounts I would put a see through scope mount on it, this way you can still use open sights at closer ranges and use the scope for longer ranges. Some people say the see through scope mounts raise the scope too high for proper check placement on the stock, I still like them.

    Great Video as always!

  3. Made in America or not made at all, baby. Henry is an awesome company for many reasons. Their guns are sweet, too.

  4. I love these Henry rifles but man they need to get on the game of some threaded barrel models. Silencers are HUGE right now and it’s an untapped market for these styles of rifles. I’d jump on a 357 Henry with a threaded barrel in a heartbeat
