If I didn’t have a next gen already (which fits the bill for a knife this size), i’d probably get one. I have a full size jx2 though. We had some friendly HFT (air rifle) competition today, but the target poles came as square pegs – can’t drive one into the ground, even with a hammer. So I just went and sharpened them up, and it takes a fair bit of effort to turn a 1” by 2.5” plank into a sharp point.
About 15 minutes (and several poles done) i just had a brain malfunction, and asked myself, why the hell am I carving instead of chopping? So I just went ham and indiscriminately chopped until I got the poles sharpened – no edge damage, and still paper-slicing edge on it afterwards.
Video ideas: with Kim Jun Un and Puerto Rico in mind, it might be time to revisit the idea of REAL preparedness. Got a basement to crawl in in case of fallout? Ready tô feed your kids in event supplies are disrupted for awhile? Can you fend off looters? Can you stay warm in winter? Got an alternative to your furnace? Health care needs? Get it?
Of everything and anything you’ve ever created/reviewed, this is my favorite!! I want one in blaze orange for hunting season!! Hurry!! Deer season starts soon!!
It’s hard to believe that People Eating Tasty Animals would have problems with a video showing game being processed.
Very nice no doubts. Really well executed
So if you had to choose; this or the jx6?
+Nick Miller Depends. JX6 is designed to be an everything knife, whereas this is designed mostly for woods use.
looks like it has a micro bevel, is that what I see??
+tim kitzmann Almost every knife in existence has a micro bevel. What does that even matter? Answer: It really doesn’t.
