(Note: In the 2017 catalog, it is listed as SK5) Every once in a while I get to try something that isn’t my usual fare. Such is the case with the SCHF40LD. It’s not a bushcraft or survival knife, but it was intriguing enough to give it a shot, especially with a blade steel that I’m not used to seeing with Schrade.

I hope that shrade doesn’t mess with a product that ain’t broken
say the 36 56l the 43 and the steel used I hope they kinda stick to that and not go on a different route.
I love the 1095 they use and there handles are fine I mean maybe a different design with the materials or a different micarta pattern would be cool but I hope there stick to that area of production. because it’s been very nice with what your paying and getting.
they do so many things with designs and I love it I just hope it stays the same with materials.
Use what influence you have with Schrade, and request these be manufactured with a hollow grind….I’d be sold.
Nice looking knife but not for me.
It looks like it’s designed for kids that want a military looking knife without the price of a quality knife. Made in China? No thanks. Why buy anything made outside of the USA when there are so many American made choices? Just to save a buck?
