  1. Nice video CP. I hope you will talk about what we do as Preppers on your next version. Yes the grid will be the most notable impact however that E3 you’re talking about will couple with every electronic and electrical device within the range of the pulse. Even if they get the grid up in weeks nothing else would be working unless it was protected in a faraday cage.

  2. As usual…well done! Thank you for the information. I totally agree with City Prepping…if you prepare for a grid down, you have pretty much covered your bases, the best you can.

  3. Might be strange to say, but MAD is a SOUND way to go about the Nuke Topic, and the continued effort of the USA to skew the balance in this regard is one of the Biggest Threats to Nuclear Safety in the world. It’s scary to see how ‘under the guise of safety’ the USA is trying to impose it’s power upon the world. ESPECIALLY in this regard… MAD keeps us all safe, so don’t be mad and undermine it !

  4. What about the 448 nuclear powerplants worldwide? They will all meltdown if not shutdown properly. In case of global social unrest nobody will or can shutdown the reactors properly. How can someone prep for 448 fukushima’s? It wil leave the planet uninhabitable.

  5. Very well done presentation. I’m extremely dubious that we could recover. The nodal transformers in particular represent a single point of failure in the system.

Put simply, we won’t have the time to get the system back up and running before everything falls apart. But, the effects ar not going to stop with just the US. Our economy and financial system is tied to the rest of the world’s economies and financial systems. Even if the US and Canada were the only ones directly effected, the rest of the world is going to be facing an economic depression at the very least.

The USA is so voracious in its consumerism taking us out of play could cause a cascading economic collapse. Then of course, there is the power vacuum. Take the US out and there is going to be a mad scramble to see who is the top dog. Which means there will be wars out the yin yang as everyone tries to establish themselves as the top dog locally.

There won’t be a ripple effect. It will be a tsunami effect.

  6. I saw a PBS Nova that talked about a CME (Corona Mass Ejection) back in the 1800’s that was so powerful it set telegraphs on fire all across the northeast. If one of that magnitude happened today we are screwed. Because of the nodal transformers they estimated it might take 30 years to replace and even the conventional scientists on Nova were skeptical that our civilization would recover.
